**Interim Accountant, Gloucester, 10-12 months, £45-50K**
**(very flexible working from home arrangements available)**

**Toner Graham** are recruiting for a position in an international Gloucester-based business for an experienced Accountant. Qualified or Qualified by Experience, you will be responsible for performing various accounting functions. Reportingto the Accounting Manager to support a number of assigned European business segments, and assist with preparing monthly management accounts, profit & loss analysis, annual financial statements, audit, tax returns.

**ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS**
Assist in performing various accounting functions in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to corporate departmental policies and procedures and updating manager on issues, timetables, and status of each function
Provide accurate and timely information on balance sheet reconciliations for assigned entities
Assist with investigating Income statement variances to projections
Preparation of VAT returns for assigned entities
Assisting with Corporate tax reporting working with external advisors
Liaison with external auditors
Work on corporate simplification project, assisting to close dormant entities no longer required and work with external advisors to ensure all necessary steps undertaken including final tax returns and audits as necessary
Assist with other departmental projects as assigned
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by the management team, ensuring all reports are completed accurately and according to designated timelines

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**
Suitable relevant experience in a large organisation
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Suitable experience working in a finance environment
Experience of preparing statutory accounts
Practical working knowledge of UK and US GAAP
Experience of Oracle Cloud as an ERP system an advantage

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organised and able to handle multiple demands and reporting deadlines simultaneously
Quick starter, keen to learn and develop, and take responsibility
Ability to work autonomously and effectively as a team
