We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to work in our 'Getting Help' team, embedded within Oxfordshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
This role involves working with young people experiencing a wide variety of lower-level mental health difficulties for up to 6-8 sessions. We work collaboratively with parents/families/carers to promote the emotional and physical wellbeing of the young person and do this through a person-centred approach.
We'll need you to undertake an initial assessment of the young person's mental health needs, collaborative formulation and providing the treatment plan drawing on a variety of interventions that may involve multi-agency networking where necessary. You'll be working in accordance with the iThrive model.
We'll offer you in house training in CBT, systemic, and DBT informed coping skills. There will also be the opportunity for further training based on individual learning needs. We have good professional support in our service and regular professional regional meetings.
Taking part in the Getting Help CAMHS Consultation Line, responding to, offering support and signposting to concerned young people, families and professionals when there has been a change in presentation whilst open to the service.
Liaison with partner agencies providing mental health expertise, pre
- referral consultation and training. Expert signposting to other appropriate resource within the community, for example: police, schools, addiction services, adoption services, YOT and voluntary sector providers as well as primary and specialist CAMHS Community Mental Health Teams, Learning Disability Services and other specialist services within the Trust. Recognition of cases needing other specialist services within CAMHS.
Taking clinical responsibility for ensuring electronic records are up to date and throughput of the caseload, working with case management in conjunction with the Clinical Team Manager/Deputy Clinical Team Manager and their clinical supervisor. Compile written reports as required.
Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, reviews, strategy meetings, CETRs and other professional meetings as appropriate. To participate in meetings and mitigation calls relevant to service provision.
To maintain professional registration, CPD and mandatory training up to date.
