**Your next role**
Are you passionate about helping people achieve their employment goals? We’re looking for an **Employment Specialist** who will make a real difference—supporting residents to access and sustain paid employment, including those facing a range of barriers including long term health conditions or disabilities.
**What you will do**:
- Deliver specialist employment support through Connect to Work and other Council initiatives.
- Conduct vocational assessments and create personalised action plans.
- Work closely with employers to identify inclusive job opportunities and advise on reasonable adjustments.
- Promote the ‘place, train and maintain’ approach and advocate for inclusive hiring.
- Maintain accurate records and track progress using digital caseload systems.
- Engage with stakeholders and communities to generate referrals and raise awareness.
**We are looking for someone who is**:
- Experienced in managing caseloads and supporting individuals into employment.
- Skilled in working with young people and those with complex needs.
- A strong communicator who can build relationships with participants, employers, and partners.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Competent with ICT systems and digital tools.
**Special Requirement**:
- A driving licence and access to a car for business use is desirable but not essential.
- Due to the diversity of our customer base, the need for regular one-to-one meetings, and the flexibility required in delivering our contracts, an enhanced DBS check will be required.
- You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”)._
