An award winning company 2020 Business Green Awards, Green Building Project of the Year and 2019 British Construction Industry Award for the UK Hydrographic Office HQ, is looking for a Senior Carbon Consultant - Built Environment to join their team

You will be working with a range of clients universities, masterplan developers, asset managers and investors, to shape the approach we are taking to decarbonisation and a net-zero future.

The purpose is to unlock cheaper, cleaner and more reliable energy using sustainability and environmental target and principles. Helping to deliver the London Plan and Mayors' vision for 'Good Growth' over the next 20-25 years gives you the chance to take part in meaningful projects that yield career development and progression.

You will get the chance to dive into
- Net-zero carbon studies at project and master planning levels
- Climate change studies
- ESG strategy
- Life-Cycle Carbon and Cost Analyses (LCCA)
- Renewable energy development and consultancy
- Carbon management verification

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading the delivery of net zero targets, carbon management, Carbon foot-printing, carbon accounting, verification and validation strategies.
- Developing targets for sustainability strategies
- Reviewing project details and documentation provided by project teams, assess this against the project's targets and provide feedback or follow-up.
- Effective data management including setting up and maintaining project databases and project evidence trackers.
- Producing high-quality reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
- Attending site visits to review progress against various sustainability targets.
- Assisting in preparing bids and proposals for new work.
- Maintaining and keeping up with best practice in the industry

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of or technical ability in sustainability/energy/renewables/built environment / environmental science related disciplines
- Background in environmental / energy / carbon management
- Experienced project leader experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication, presentation and written skills.
- Emerging business development and sales skills.
- Thorough understanding on the construction industry and built environment.
- Client relationship management skills.
- Proven track record of project delivery.
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent/higher.
