The role
- As a Communications & Engagement Executive you will take an active role supporting council teams in communicating effectively with stakeholders, ensuring threy are kept informed, engaged, and enhancing the councils reputation as a public service providerand good employer.
- You will work to understand and communicate to a variety of different internal audiences including front line staff, remote and hybrid working staff, managers, senior managers, councillors, and Trade Unions.
- Must go to Brighton for events

Skills and experience
- You must have experience working in internal communications and using and publishing content onto an intranet. It would be preferable if you have used and have knowledge of SharePoint.
- We operate in a complex political and industrial relations environment and being able to target communications with full understanding of this context would be desirable.
- You should have a desire to learn and be excited by the opportunity to work for an employer who can offer a varied and interesting workload.
- Ideally you will have done research on the Council as an employer and be keen to join the public sector where your work can have a direct impact on the city around you.
Long Term Opportunities
Although this opportunity is initially temporary, this is pending a team restructure where the future of the role will be decided. There is potential for the assignment to be extended to cover high workload demands.
