**Hours**:12 hours per week Monday-Wednesday 10am-2pm

**Hourly Rate**:£7,831.2 per annum (Hourly rate £12.55)

**Overview**

Orchardville is a voluntary organisation and registered charity that supports young people and adults with learning disability or autism to live, learn and work. Established in 1982 we offer high quality day opportunity and employment services to over 600 participants each year who attend services in Belfast, North Down, Lisburn and Derry/ Londonderry. The work we do is life-changing for participants, enabling them to lead independent lives, gain employment and become fully included in their community.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and confident project worker whose role will be to support a participant on a 1-1 basis who has a learning disability and is visually impaired, to take part in project activities across the week. The participant requires support to navigate their environment safely and confidently while promoting their independence and dignity. This includes offering physical guidance when needed, giving clear verbal cues, and adapting support to the individual’s preferences and abilities.

NB: The 1-1 support does not require you to do any regulated activity such as personal care, feeding the participant or any form of restraint.
