**Job Overview**:
This is a varied and exciting role that will see you engaged in supporting the Social Value and Communications team and the wider organisation. The role holder will promote and embed Social Value and Communication activities across the organisation and work to actively involve the workforce.

You must have an interest in making a difference within the local community, can engage well with others and a range of key stakeholders.

**Main Duties**
- Support the delivery of social value activities within the plan and monitor success.
- Actively seek and encourage Social Value support from Mitie employees, promoting when required (i.e., volunteering opportunities)
- Engagement with external stakeholders including the client, supply chain members, Social Value peers and agencies.
- Create social value case studies on completion of projects/activities.
- Monitor external volunteering/community project opportunities.
- Support the Communication team in creating and delivering internal & external communications.
- Lead and assist on the organisation of events, employee engagement activities, visits, recruitment fairs and internal events.
- Manage data collection and inputting to TOMs/Thrive.
- Produce, coordinate, and distribute marketing collateral such as All Hands Briefs, newsletters, employee briefings and company literature.
- Organise and coordinate conferences and events (internal and external), including tasks associated with these events.
- Carry out administration activities required as part of role including minute taking, diary management, budget control and data collection.

**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for an individual who possesses the following:

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, orally and written.
- An interest in Marketing & Communications. Demonstrative experience of marketing and communications required.
- Highly organised, pro-active with good attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (or willingness to learn) in Word, Excel & Power Point.
