This role is full time work with part time study, gaining a full bachelor’s degree upon completion.

**Job Summary (Description of main purpose of job)**
To provide positive, professional and proactive finance support for a variety of individual and team focused finance, accounting and clerical tasks relating to the wide scope of operating activities of the Brothers of Charity Services.
A flexible and helpful approach is required in dealing with the many and varied tasks in the Finance Department and also to provide excellent Finance Department customer service delivery in supporting our high performance levels to other staff colleagues, departmental visitors and callers and wider stakeholders of the Brothers of Charity Services. A positive and flexible approach to the effective performance of the requirements of the post and the Services is absolutely key.
As such illustrating a ‘can do’ attitude in role and showing consistent initiative in positively and effectively dealing with any issues that arise are essential attributes for the job. Likewise accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
The post holder will professionally support the delivery of accurate and timely finance administration for the Brothers of Charity Services. In addition to the areas of responsibility normally assigned to them, they will provide cover for other members of the Finance Team as required, and help the other staff as required to cover for their work.
- A Levels in Math’s, Business & Finance, Accountancy Or equivalent
- Standard grades in English and Math’s as a minimum
- Willingness to work towards higher level professional qualification
- Good communication skills - in person, in writing and over the phone
- Excellent organisational skills
- Self-motivated yet excellent Team Player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrable practical understanding of financial accounting principles and techniques
- Ability to work in a professional manner and work well as part of a team
- Previous experience of working within an office environment
- Willing to work flexibly across the organisation
