Senior Quality Management Lead - South West Prisons

Oxleas are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the Quality Management Team and work within a forward thinking organisation that puts quality at the heart of everything we do

The post holder will play a central role in the delivery of the Trust’s quality and governance programme across ten prisons in the South West of England.

This role requires individuals who are driven, ambitious and passionate about the provision of high quality, safe and effective care, with a desire to influence and work in close partnership with clinical and managerial staff.

The post holder will be responsible for providing assurance to the Trust board and will do so by leading on the delivery of the Improving Lives peer review programme. They will triangulate and monitor internal and external intelligence information, including analysing complex data, ensuring shared learning is embedded and that improvements made are sustainable.

The post holder will work to drive continuous improvements in healthcare service delivery, providing direct support to services to transform and improve the quality of service provided. They will also build quality improvement capability through training and coaching staff.

The base for this role will be Pinewood House, Kent but the post holder will be located in the South West, with requirements to attend the base a minimum of four times per year for planned meetings.

10. HMP Leyhill
- Oversight of the Quality Control dashboards and performance monitoring
- Provide specialist support to teams undertaking improvement projects, using recognised QI methodology
- Work collaboratively with clinical, non-clinical, corporate and managerial colleagues at all levels within the organisation to identify quality improvement opportunities and share and spread opportunities
- Teach improvement methods and tools
- Undertake analysis of themes and trends from incidents, complaints, audits, etc. Effective processes in place for sharing the lessons across the trust.
- Support the ten prisons in the south west in identifying and monitoring quality measures
- To review inspection reports, providing advice and support on matters affecting compliance
- Leading on the delivery of and implementation of the Improving Lives annual programme
- Application of Quality Impact Assessment’s (QIA’s)
- Support and promote the delivery of shared learning processes across the trust
- Ensure that service directorate action plans to address non - compliance are established and regularly monitored

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings.
