We have a great opportunity for a Finance Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team. The Accounts Payable team has a remit to produce specified UK Joint Venture and Head Office accounts up to trial balance level in accordance with published deadlines. This role is responsible for the purchase ledger of specified accounts, this includes invoice processing, regular payment runs, bank reconciliations and aged creditors.

You will ensure that invoices for Head Office received directly from suppliers are registered accurately and distributed internally for approval and coding in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for creating payment runs and manual payments for approval, bank reconciliations and balancing to Trial Balance at Month End, reconciliation of supplier statements, analysis of aged creditors and debit balances and dealing with stakeholder and supplier queries.

We are looking for someone with proven administrative experience working in a finance environment (knowledge of accounting would be an advantage), highly numerate, strong analytical skills and attention to detail and intermediate Excel and Outlook skills.

We offer flexible working, not just through these uncertain times but indefinitely. We are based in Brighton but offer hybrid working and would ask that you’re able to commit to joining us for team collaboration in the office when required 1-2 days per week (our team typically work in the office on Thursdays)
