This is a permanent part time position (25 hours per week) over 4/5 days. We are flexible and accommodating so hoping you will be too.

**Main Duties**:

- To carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Painting and re-decoration works.
- Respond quickly and effectively to customer needs.
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time and within agreed standards.
- Proactive approach in identifying any other maintenance work required that has not been previously identified.
- To obtain materials for minor repairs/maintenance when needed.
- Clear newly vacated flats (removal and disposal of old furniture, carpets, curtains etc).
- Help keep ground/buildings clean and clear of rubbish.
- Work as part of a team to undertake any maintenance requests to deliver good customer service.
- To remain professional and courteous at all times in particular being presentable in public areas.
- On call and to attend any emergency repairs.
- To carry out all reasonable requests from Management.

**The Person**:

- 2+ years in a similar role is essential
- Good knowledge of property maintenance
- Highly customer focused
- Strong time management skills
- Effective planning prioritisation skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proactive and team player
- Professional attitude and manner when dealing with tenants

The Ascent is the fourth property within our portfolio and is designed to create an aspirational space for our students to live, study and socialise together. Our facilities include, a 24-hour gym with an onsite personal trainer hosting a range of weekly classes and one to one sessions, plus a Sauna & Steam room for our students to unwind and relax. Alternatively, our Cinema Room can be used to simply relax and watch a film with friends. Other facilities include an iMac Centre, numerous Study Rooms, Games Zone, Music Lounge, Mega Kitchens, and pantry. Safe to say, we’ve got it all covered.

The Ascent is located right in the city centre on Renshaw Street. Should you cycle to work, we have an on-site cycle store available for employees. You could even take advantage of our Cycle to work Scheme. Our main priority at Iconinc, is to create a safe, community feeling within our properties. Which is why we’re looking for fun, friendly, hardworking people with an eye for 5-star detail, to join our brand new team.
