**SD&C Training Lead**
**Glasgow**

As a Barclays SD&C Training Lead, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of training delivered within Group Financial Crime Operations. For this role, you will lead with all internal and external inductions and the support in overseeing of associated accreditations and ‘route to competency’ journeys. You will also create new training where required and adapt current training in line with changes to policy and/or procedures as well as training in response to change using various delivery methods.

**What will you be doing?**
- Supporting the operational training team and accountable to the Head of Training, Policy and Procedures
- Proving and challenging the effectiveness of the training process, mandatory policy training, internal process training and general operational procedures
- Analysing trends across the operation to ascertain knowledge gaps and generate training in line with this
- Developing our online ‘Central Learning Portal’ utilising digital content to develop knowledge and ensuring there is a flexible approach taken to learning and development
- Creating, planning and delivery of training material to the operation and liaising with senior management and group compliance
- Maintaining the training academy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Hosting training forums within GFCO (Group Financial Crime Operations) bringing in supporting functions such as operations, QA and QC
- Developing and overseeing a fit for purpose training programme aimed to improve performance within the operations at all levels

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience of running a global function, preferably within a financial crime or highly regulated business environment
- Knowledge of financial crime and policies (Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, Screening, PEP/HR and Financial Crime Exits)
- Experience of working in a team and of coaching and developing colleagues
- Experience of stakeholder management and the ability to communicate confidently both written and verbally across multiple stakeholder groups up to and including MD

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Understanding of financial crime operations, in addition to evaluating effectiveness of training while utilising metrics and business results to drive turnaround
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure and rapidly changing environment, willing and able to “roll sleeves up” and deliver what is required to meet the team needs
- Experience in the training cycle, including training needs analysis, training design/delivery across a multi-site and preferably a multi-cultural organisation
- Knowledge and understanding of operational risk requirements and standards applicable to the relevant processes and procedures
