This advert is for and Administration Officer who will be based on site at Edward House, a Forensic Low Secure Unit based at Broomfield Hospital.
- This service is provided to people between the ages of 18-65 who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 and who:
- Have been identified as requiring hospital admission for assessment or treatment but do not require intensive care. The patients would usually be involved in criminal proceedings, requiring transfer from custodial settings.
- Have been identified as requiring a rehabilitation programme within a low secure setting and are able to participate in a rehabilitation programme.
- The post holder will work as a member of the Directorate’s Administration Service ensuring that a high quality and efficient service is provided at all times.
- To operate and support clinical services and functions.
- The Administration Assistant will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all activity across services using trust information systems.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Administration Assistant based at Edward House, Linden Centre, Chelmsford. This is a busy, varied position supporting clinical staff within an admin capacity.
We are looking for someone with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care. The role will include face to face contact and telephone duties. Due to the nature of the services we carry out administrative support for these can sometimes be distressing.

ROLE SUMMARY
Working autonomously for long periods of time and you will be the first point of contact to anyone entering this Unit.
**Responsibilities**:
You would provide Administration support for Edward House based at the Linden Centre in Chelsmford. You will be part of an Administration Hub Team for the whole site, but you will be based predominantly on a Forensic Mental Health Ward.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services; providing cover where appropriate and operationally required.
In delivering your duties you are expected to display behaviours that are aligned with the Trust values and as required in accordance with the NHS Constitution at all times.
**Please note**: The role involves being predominantly based in an inpatient Ward environment and you will be required to wear necessary PPE on site.
