**Job Title**: Product Design Admin **Reports To**: Director of Product Design **Department**: Product Design **Location**: Head Office, Cottons Centre, London **Role Summary**: At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to "Make it easy for men to dress well". The primary purpose of the Design Assistant is to be accountable for assisting the Product Design team with efficient design and administration support. Maintaining the critical path, design archives and ongoing research will support the production of quintessentially British product ranges which 'make it easy for men to dress well' and ultimately increase sales. **Key Responsibilities**: - Work with the Product Design team on research and formation of concepts including assisting with theme boards, design packs and final set up - Reliable research and documentation of market constantly for use by design team. This includes store visits, competitor analysis, and regular attendance of trade. - Ownership of the design & mood boards, and their process through to sign o. - Reliably update Design packs through the design development process for factory use. - Complete visual range overviews for review by buyers and directors at framework stage. - Understanding of the Product critical path and acute awareness for the next month to assist in organisation. - Effective logging of all development work requested and chasing in of CADs/fabrics/samples from suppliers. - Appropriate labelling and filing of all seasonal developments including CADs, handlooms and proto-samples so they can be easily located and identified - General administrative duties including, making travel arrangements, booking meeting rooms, sending and tracking all post for the team. **Person Specification**: **_Experience Required_** - A good understanding of the market, Jermyn street style and the CT customer profile cross channel - Design-focussed, commercial eye passionate about product with an appropriate taste level. - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Excellent communication skills - Collaborative working with the rest of Product, Retail, Marketing Design & E-commerce - Willingness to learn. - Interest and understanding of fabric design and manufacture, colour, pattern and garment design. **_Behavioural Competencies_** - Good communication and influencing skills - Enjoy working effectively as a team both within our departments and across departments - Professionalism in all aspects of the role and ensuring personal behaviour reflects the values of the business at all times **_Technical Skills_** - CAD and Illustrator/Photoshop - Intermediate Excel **_Qualifications/ Training_** - Degree qualified in fashion or têxtile design
