**Join our team as a Warehouse Operative**

As a Warehouse Operative at JLI, you will be expected to work as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

The duties of a Warehouse Operative include loading/ unloading of stock, processing stock condition, stock checking, inventory control, picking and packing of orders, and safe use of warehousing equipment to complete general tasks.

This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working carefully, productively and to the best of their ability. The fast paced, energetic environment of the warehouse requires excellent organisational skills, with a key focus on maximising efficiency. Therefore, it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably complete your duties as a Warehouse Operative. Many of these tasks may involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting. While the relevant training will be issued to successful applicants, having a good range of mobility is also important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing excessive strain on your body.

Previous experience in warehousing, storage, and customer service desirable, but not essential. More important is the willingness to learn and tackle challenges with diligence and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to the shifting situations within the work environment.

**Salary**:

- Starting at £9.70 per hour. £9.90 after the probation period has been completed.
- Opportunity to progress to £11.90 per hour for the right individual.

**Working hours**:

- Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:00
- Occasional Saturdays 08:00 - 16:00
- One 30-minute unpaid break per shift

Please be aware this is a zero hour contract, potentially leading to a full time contract for the right person.

Interviews to be held December with a view to a January start date.

**Salary**: £9.70-£11.90 per hour
