**What we are looking for**:
As UK Sales Director, you will be instrumental in fuelling Yapily's ambitious growth. The UK is at the global forefront of open banking, and success in this market is crucial to Yapily’s overall success.

**The role**:
Reporting to the VP Sales, you will play a key leadership role in building and leading the UK Sales team to capitalise on the immense market opportunity we have before us. You will lead by example, attract great talent, help the team to develop their skills, deliver on ambitious targets, and roll up your sleeves as needed to work directly with customers.
- Recruit, develop and lead a team of sales professionals, with a particular focus on new customer acquisition.
- Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on performance against key sales metrics.
- Play a direct role in building and maintaining enduring executive customer relationships, up to C-level.
- Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle.
- Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for Yapily.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across the organisation to help shape Yapily’s products and solutions to meet market needs.
- Participate in industry events to help thought leadership and drive positive market awareness.
**Requirements**:
**We are ideally looking for someone with**:

- Considerable sales leadership experience in a high-growth technology environment, coupled with proven people management skills.
- Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performing sales team.
- Ability to think critically and strategically and define go-to-market strategy.
- Ability to build strategic executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders.
- Demonstrated passion for helping to scale new technology businesses.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry
- or business-relevant terms.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, including with marketing, product and engineering teams.
**We would love you to have**:

- Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company.
- Prior experience with API-centric businesses and recurring revenue-based business models
- Prior experience in the financial services and/or open banking industry.
