Early Help Coordinator
**Permanent role, 22 hours a week, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays**
The First Assessment Services is looking for an Early Help Coordinator, to join the existing staffing group at the Front Door of Bristol Children's Services.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we embed changes, to enhance our delivery of services to children and families.
The First Assessment Service is based at Bridewell Police Station, and is responsible for making rapid, informed and safe decisions for all referrals requesting support or safeguarding intervention for vulnerable children, young people and their families. Early Help Coordinators triage work, provide advice and signposting, and refer children and their families to relevant services which meet our Family Help level of intervention.
We have retained an office presence and recognise the value of working alongside colleagues to support development and promote positive working relationships. We are therefore seeking staff who share this ethos and can work from the office. Some occasional home working will be an option dependant on service need and demand.
You will have some relevant experience working with children and/or families with excellent decision making and multi-agency working skills and with a commitment to supporting children and their families to access the right level of support, at the right time in their lives.
You will have confidence and skills in recognising and understanding the needs of children in need of help and support.
You will be joining a stable service with long term, permanent staff, low vacancy rates, and good staff morale.
The role is based at Bridewell Police Station in the City Centre. There are excellent amenities around the office area. There is no free parking in the vicinity, but the office is easily accessible by public transport.
