Our dynamic, fast-growing client is looking to appoint a fluent **Mandarin speaking Student Progression & Welfare officer** to support students and families within this Education Consultancy.
Reporting to the guardianship service Manager, the role will require you to liaise with UK boarding schools, students, parents and host families etc. to ensure international student's academic inspiration is achieved and welfare is well looked after.
The ideal person will be willing to grow with company by taking on more responsibilities with their own initiative and make their own footprint.
Main Responsibilities:
- Acting as knowledgeable and trustworthy main contact bridge among existing parents, UK boarding schools and students.
- Dealing with existing parents requests and enquires in a professional and timely manner.
- Regular liaison with boarding schools' admission team and houseparent's.
- Be students' mentor to support their academic inspiration and ensure their welfare is well looked after.
- Day to day liaison with external clients, including Chinese parents, UK boarding schools, host families and various suppliers.
- Support other team members when required
- Various other tasks and projects
Essential Attributes:
- Trustworthiness and can-do attitude are essential;
- Being flexible and have a right learning attitude;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
- A good attention to details;
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask;
- Fluent in Mandarin with good understanding of Chinese culture;
- BSc/BA degree is a minimum requirement;
- At least 3+ years working experience, education sector is an advantage but not essential
This role will be located in either Southampton or Newport
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.
**Salary**: £23K - £28K basic
