Marketing Assistant

**Marketing Assistant | Preston | Full Time | £20,000-£25,000**

Established in 1967, Jonesco (Preston) Ltd manufacture and distribute a range of plastic products made by rotational moulding and extrusion. These products are used to enhance health and safety in a variety of markets, particularly commercial vehicles, environmentalprotection (secondary / spill containment) and fire protection.

The company operates from a 4 acre manufacturing facility and nearby 3.7 acre warehouse site in Preston, Lancashire, plus a subsidiary based at Seclin, near Lille in northern France. All products are manufactured in the UK and more than half are exportedto distributors in over 60 countries around the world. Jonesco employ nearly 200 people across all sites and are Investors in People Accredited in addition to holding ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (health and safety) certification.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will focus on delivering a programme of digital media activities to a worldwide B2B audience, including social media, digital advertising, website improvements and other initiatives. You will need to be able to communicatewell in written form and have a firm grasp of graphic design, as well as the software needed to produce accessible, high quality content.

Ours is a small team, so your contribution will be noticed right away and, as a team member, you will also have opportunity to help produce print media, design exhibition stands, develop our video library and anything else you, and we, can think of.

This is the sort of role you can grow into and expand. Although it would suit someone starting out in their career, this is not a training role but a fully-fledged position in an established family company.

**Are you the right person for us?**
- A qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, particularly in design and graphics
- Copy and content writing skills
- Digital marketing and social media experience
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite design software
- Familiarity with MS Office software
- Ability to interpret a brief quickly and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to multitask and be flexible in approach
- Experience in photography/videography desirable
- Driving licence desirable
- French or other languages desirable

**What will your role as a Marketing Assistant look like?**
- Assist the marketing manager in delivering the company’s global marketing plan
- Support all internal marketing activities
- Create high-quality written content for both print and digital channels
- Create graphics, photography and videography using Adobe software for both print and digital channels
- Plan, create and report on activity for the company’s social media channels to build following and enhance audience engagement
- Assist with creating and delivering engaging customer campaigns to drive sales activities
- Assist in the production of printed catalogues, brochures and advertisements
- Help manage image and video libraries and support customer requests for assets
- Assist with preparations for trade shows and exhibitions
- Liaise with external agencies and suppliers as required
- Liaise with colleagues across the organisation, including our subsidiary in France
- Assist with any other marketing activities as required
