Deputy Team Manager

Auriga Services are looking for a Deputy Team Manager to join a dynamic, fast growing public benefit entity with a track record spanning 23 years. You will take responsibility for assigned tasks and aid the end-to-end delivery of the operational contracts managed by Auriga along with supporting the day-to-day management of teams and projects and process improvements when workloads are high, to ensurecontract expectations are achieved.
**As a Deputy Team Manager at Auriga, your responsibilities will include**:
- Supporting contract delivery, continuous improvement, reporting and stakeholder management.
- Supporting, coaching, and developing colleagues to perform to the best of their ability.
- Being a point of contact for colleagues for support with day-to-day issues.
- Being the second point of contact for all relevant stakeholders.
- Attending Operational Meetings to feedback and give updates.
- Deputising for the Senior Managers when required, including attending meetings and covering absence.
- Dealing with complaint handling and escalations.
- Optimising resources in the Operations department to ensure a high quality, efficient and cost-effective service.
- Working closely with the Senior Operations/Team Manager to help develop, coordinate, and plan projects.
- Taking control of continual improvement of operational processes to ensure efficiencies.
- Identifying issues affecting the business and offering solutions.
- Ensuring staff recruitment, training, addressing skills gaps and defined aspects of HR management.
- Carrying out other duties commensurate with the post as required.
**At Auriga, we are looking for a Deputy Team Manager who has the following skills and experiences**:
- Experience of working within teams, developing, and coaching.
- People management skills.
- Experience of improving processes and identifying efficiencies and improved ways of working.
- IT literate - achieving and demonstrating at least intermediate level in MS Office.
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service.
- Empathy and compassion based on life skills with a genuine understanding of vulnerable people in financial crisis or hardship.
We are located in the West Midlands in Sutton Coldfield centre only 2 minutes from the train station but are open to people who can split their time between the office and working remotely. This is a full time Assessor role working 37.5 hours per week. Yourworking hours are reasonably flexible between 08.00 - 17.30 ensuring business needs are met.
