An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Access Co-ordinator to the join the Neurofibromatosis department at Guys Hospital.
This is an exciting and challenging role in which the post holder would have an opportunity to make a direct positive impact on patient experience within the Trust.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with good interpersonal and skills to work together with a highly competent and friendly team. The role will be the first point of contact for all patient appointments and queries.
This role will provide patient access and reception cover to our Neurofibromatosis and Neurology patients.
The Neurofibromatosis department is funded through NHS England highly specialised services to provide the national Complex NF1 service from 1stApril 2009 and the national NF2 service from 1stApril 2010. These services have been nationally commissioned to provide specialist support for this significantly complex group of patients.
The Patient Access Co-ordinator will liaise closely with the clinical team and specialty management teams to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate appointments according to their care pathway.
The post holder will be required to rotate within the team, providing clinic reception cover, booking and rescheduling appointments, general administrative support and telephone cover.
