**Brief Overview of the role**:
The **FP&A Analyst** will be part of the FP&A team. This is a newly created role designed to produce new value-added analysis for strategic decision making. The FP&A team is responsible for building the business partnering function working withbudget holders and senior leadership to provide accurate information. We are looking to grow our FP&A team and this role will work closely alongside our existing **FP&A Analyst** and the FP&A Manager. The role will work closely with lead of Syndicated Research, Chief Technology Officer, and Technology Directors.

The**FP&A Analyst** reports to the Group FP&A Manager.

**Key responsibilities**:
The role will include:

- Support the FP&A function in providing financial guidance and advice to Senior Management and the Leadership Team.
- Financial & Investment analysis: Modelling Investment plan proposal through to potential return on investment, based on cost reduction or non-financial efficiencies.
- Aid the Tech divisional on cost optimisation review and annual benchmarking.
- Produce Monthly Tech cost reforecast and work with the research division to implement monthly OOD costs reforecast.
- Scenario planning, predictive and prescriptive analytics, driver-based planning.
- Support and advise the CTO on their business plans and how decisions will affect the 3-year plan. Explain financial and non-financial data to the CTO and senior technology leaders.
- Work with the Tech Project Managers to forecast potential CAPEX spend per project.
- Review and analysis of the cost base for the main research products. - Be the key communicator between finance and technology.
- Prepare monthly reports as requested for review by the FP&A Manager.
- Prepare board packs for the Leadership Team.
- KPI (key performance indicators) reporting.
- Support the FP&A Manager with adhoc analysis.
- The person who undertakes this role must be able to work with large data sets, can work with absolute detail as well as stand back and see the bigger picture.
- It is important the individual who takes on this position is professional, confident, and assertive to deal with senior managers and challenge where necessary in a non-confrontational manner.

**Requirements**:

- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA **FULLY** qualified
- Highly organised individual with the ability to work on several projects at once.
- Experience working with non-finance staff and ability to explain financial data to them
- Influencing ability
- Experienced in cross-border working, negotiating the nuances of an international team based in various locations
- Proven ability to achieving specified objectives and deadlines
- Ability and experience of working in multi-currency
- Advanced level of excel with the ability to review large data sets quickly and accurately
- Flexible approach and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
- Experience of SAGE and/or D365 preferred
- Experience using PowerBI, Tableau or other analysis tools
- Strives to improve processes and utilise efficiencies.
- An excellent communicator. With the ability to tell a story and go beyond the analysis
