Page Group are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant based in Cardiff.

The role is paying £23,000 to £25,000 plus a 5% bonus.

This is for a fast growth business with opportunity to develop and progress into a Buyer/Planner role.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring supply chain / purchasing professional to get involved in supplier relations, project work, system implementation and direct purchasing.

**Description**

The Purchasing Assistant will report to the Site Procurement Lead, supporting direct & indirect procurement activities. Ensuring that you are sourcing materials and services at market competitive prices. Working with key internal stakeholders and suppliersto deliver continuous improvements to service levels and supporting the site implementation of Sage X-3 within procurement.

**KEY ACTIVITIES**
- Supporting Site Procurement Lead with day-to-day indirect category order management & supplier management
- Supporting Group Procurement on any business wide direct / indirect procurement projects
- Supporting negotiations with suppliers to agree prices, quantities, delivery schedules and commercial terms
- Collecting and analysing business spend data to help predict usage and support future negotiations
- Researching new suppliers, products and supply market trends with the indirect category sector
- Collating internal customer feedback on supplier performance
- Working with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
- Delivering reports on procurement data, and other agreed Supplier metrics to the senior management team and other stakeholders
- Supporting site integration of Sage X-3 ERP system implementation for material ordering

**Profile**
- Either experience in supply chain or an associated qualification
- Confident with IT systems is essential
- Strong communication skills

**Job Offer**
- £23,000 to £25,000
