Our client is embarking on a journey of data transformation. We have been mandated to find a data evangelist to lead the execution of their data management strategy, which will transform the way data is managed and used at all levels of the organisationinternally, and how data is reported externally.

Your role will be to support the growth and success of the company by managing and providing technical leadership to a team of Business Intelligence Analysts. You’ll lead on the execution of a data management strategy and develop tactics to leverage valuethrough the effective use of business intelligence.

We’re looking for a proven data leader with team leadership, well-developed stakeholder engagement, and good technical proficiency. You’re likely to be passionate about data, latest data and BI trends, and making a genuine difference to your end customer.
- You’ll lead the thinking on how the BI function will contribute to the business achieving its strategic goals as well as identify new opportunities to capture data, or alternative ways of making better use of existing data, that could be used to facilitategrowth or improve corporate value.
- Undertake capacity modelling to determine time and technical expertise needed to deliver work programme. Highlight any capacity or technical constraints and put arrangements in place to resolve.
- Identify risks associated with the implementation of plans and put relevant contingency plans in place as required.
- Quality assure the effectiveness of work completed by BI analysts and Platform engineers and validate QA work undertaken by senior staff is being done according to agreed standards.
- Support delivery of projects. Undertake specialist analyst work or provide additional support when extra capacity required.
- Act as technical expert on BI matters across the business and advise other Leaders/Directors when needed. Lead the effort on using AI and Machine Learning to drive efficiency and business growth.

**Our Client Is Looking For**
- Proven skillset to run lead and manage a BI team.
- Degree level qualification.
- SQL Server Business Intelligence & Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Microsoft SQL Server (2008+); SQL Server Reporting Services; SQL Language
- Web based BI Reporting and Dashboard tools; SQL Server ETL tools (SSIS)
- Azure technologies including Data Lake gen 2, Data Factory, Synapse, Analysis Services, Power BI
- Track record of successfully generating value from and commercialising business information.
- Experience designing, creating, and maintaining OLAP Data Warehouses, Data Marts & Cubes; and developing ETL routines and strategies in SSIS
- Designing and developing reports in SSRS
- Multi-dimensional analysis of complex datasets using data cubes.
- Working with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels in the business.
- Introducing and promoting the concepts of Business Intelligence.
- Experience with internal and external reporting and building self-serve reporting infrastructures.
- Experience with building modern large-scale data platforms using Microsoft Azure stack.
- Experience with legacy data stack using SQL 2008R2 SSIS and SSAS and SQL2016
