Production Scheduler

**Main Purpose of the Job**:
From the Forecasts for near-term and long-term demand create the 6 - 12-week Master Production Plan and rough-cut capacity plans ensuring that production capacity and material resources are available to meet the plan highlighting any shortages and capacity constraints.
**Main Missions and Results**:

- Plans, organizes and conducts activities within its area in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives of IAC (name of plant) as well as the IAC Group.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of 6-week minimum master production schedule based on customer orders, including established safety stocks in line with contractual customer requirements, communicate to production leads and ensure full buy-off. Ensure 100% availability to the frozen production plan.
- Upload of data into ERP System.
- Provide an in-depth audit on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule and workforce size required through the maintenance of rough-cut capacity plans by work centre and labour and undertake weekly production reviews and sign offs.
- Liaise with demand specialists to ensure volume changes are reflected in production schedule, identify risks in production and communicate to relevant personnel risks and opportunities.
- Maintain all data parameters relating to finished goods item master data, work centre shift patterns, working calendars, BoMs and Routings.
- Track and manage the daily manufacturing workload, provide feedback to sales and provide regular reporting on manufacturing status and ensure schedule adherence is achieved across all work centres. Undertake bottom up re-planning activities and If required agree and implement recovery plans ensuring customer delivery on time in full is not impacted.
- Ensure shop floor systems are managed such as Kanbans, pattern wheels etc. in accordance with MPS requirements, liaising with relevant stakeholders to establish accurate replenishment volumes and optimised replenishment frequency.
- Monitor production completions and ensure that MRB material is isolated and sanctioned in accordance with IAC material review board.
- Ensure production capacity is updated on relevant customer portals.
- Ensure work order status is accurate and maintained down dating or completing in accordance with MRP process requirements.
- Support effective supply planning and warehousing on inbound and outbound movements.
- Monitor the availability of materials from suppliers to ensure 100% clean kits for production, communicating risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure production kits and materials are available for production in time with the production work orders. Ensuring work orders are released in a timely manner and in accordance with the agreed production plan.
- Working with production and other stakeholders to ensure optimal production batch sizes to minimise risk of over stocking and obsolescence.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- 2+ years' experience working within a production planning environment, proven master production scheduler with the ability to build a plan from first principles
- Relevant qualification in production planning or manufacturing or comparable education and track record in production planning or scheduling environment
- Knowledge of lean logistics and lean production principles in general (e.g. FISS, ideas and principles of Toyota Production System)
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal at all levels in English with ability to hold people to account
- Analytic thinking and hands-on / pragmatic execution and implementation with attention to detail
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal at all levels in English
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Sound understanding of Quality, Business and OEM systems/standards
- Self-driven, with an enthusiastic approach and positive attitude able to support and encourage others
