At Kent & Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust we understand the vital role played by cleaning staff within the NHS. Therefore, we are looking for hard working individuals to help us achieve The National Cleaning Standards at Rivendell Rehabilitation Unit.

We provide a service 7 days a week, 365 days a year and the successful applicant will work with the clinical team and residents to support cleanliness on the unit.

To maintain a patient focused Hotel Services function across clinical andnon-clinical areas.

To undertake general cleaning duties and other related tasks within a designated area.

- The daily shift plan is completed in the agreed time scale and hygiene standards are met.
- Cleaning is carried out in accordance with recognised approved Trust methods/procedures.
- To participate in the Cleanliness in Hospitals Programme.
- To complete departmental performance monitoring weekly, to achieve and maintain the Trust standard.
- To ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with the Trust waste disposal policy, assuring Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
- Removal of rubbish to designated collection points.
- To wear the uniform provided, and ensure that it is kept clean and presentable at all times.
- To wear the staff name badge provided by the Trust at all times when on duty.
- No jewellery is to be worn except a wedding ring and single ear studs.
- To co-operate with managers and other employees to achieve a healthy and safe environment.
- To take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by your actions, and to carry out your responsibilities in ways that ensure a safe and healthy place of work.
- In the course of work you are to bring to the attention of your supervisor or manager: - Any situation which reasonably could be considered to represent a serious or immediate danger to the health and safety of any person.
- Any matter which reasonably could be considered to represent a shortcoming in the Trusts health and safety protection arrangements.
