Derivatives Middle Office Manager

CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for this fast growing Asset Management business, that has access to substantial AUM due to being part of a conglomerate of companies specialising in life insurance and pensions funds, with focus on long-term savingsand retirement business in the form of workplace pensions and SIPPs as example, but also corporate pension trustee services. The company is going through a huge amount of change and growth here in the UK, and are looking to identify those who would be excitedto be part of the improvements and assistance in building high performing teams needed. They work a hybrid model in all roles, and there is always opportunity to earn between 16% and 32% bonuses dependant on performance, as well as a competitive benefits package.CassonX are very excited to be one of only a few recruitment partners to this company. To be considered for this role, we are looking to identify someone who has substantial experience in OTC Swaps (CDS and IRS in particular) Middle Office and Operations, and capable of managing a small but growing team. They would prefer to hire someone fromthe "client" buyside, but open to those from a "service" background in Custody or Fund Administration, or even from the Investment Banks. The most important thing is demonstrable knowledge of not just the trade processing and trade support element of a middleoffice role, but to showcase a thorough understanding of how all of Operations works with knowledge of collateral, margin process, settlements and reconciliations as example. If you have experience on the buyside, they will look for particular emphasis on where you have had full ownership for managing the relationships between external Fund Administrators, External Fund Managers and all Investment Management Service Providers(IMs) to make sure of timely and accurate settlement of Derivative trades. Huge preference will be given to those who have used the Aladdin system. In person you will have a keen eye for detail and personality where you look for errors and like to seek resolution accordingly. They have a very broad set of funds they support, with exposure in the UK Pooled Fund market with Unit Trusts, Life and PensionFunds, but they also cover the Alternatives Market and Illiquid market with Derivative and Private Equity setups too. An appreciation for as many of those fund strategies is needed. You will of course be directly responsible for the Management of an OTC Derivatives Middle Office and Operations team, and more details are available to those who submit a relevant CV.
