Security Controller

Corps Security is currently recruiting for a SIA Licenced Security Officer to be based at one of our prestigious client’s premises.

**Job purpose**:
Duties will be determined by the Assignment Instructions and Control Room working instructions.

**Role requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence.
- Previous experience in a University environment - preferred
- Full IT Literate - MS Word, Outlook, Access Control Systems
- 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards - BS7858

**Duties include**:

- Support the fulfilment of the contracted/business objectives, through the range of duty assignments which will involve security and support duties
- To operate, monitor and prioritise all security systems located within the Control Centre in an effective manner, ensuring that all work is undertaken
- To operate and monitor the CCTV systems to activate and manage access control in line with the client requirements
- To maintain an accurate recording of all events and actions monitored from within the control room
- Assist with security and safety investigations via the use of the systems within the security control room (CCTV and access control investigations)
- To respond and react to any incidents or security issues that may arise
- To carry out regular audits and checks on security systems (CCTV, access control, safety systems) and report any faults through the Helpdesk and stakeholders in line with client requirements
- To work alongside the emergency services and other security providers to ensure high standard of response and support
- Maintain and manage strict controls around the Key Management systems in place
- Manage and maintain all equipment within the control rom e.g. radios
- Complete documents as required including DOBs, risk assessments, Standard Operating procedures and other quality & safety documents
- Provide additional support with the abilities of the security role as and when required by the onsite Security management team
- To perform ad-hoc duties as required
- Maintain clear communication via mobile and two-way radio systems with colleagues throughout your duty
