**Tate are working with a Russel group university to recruit for a Student Success Manger.

This role is Hybrid working and is reporting directly to the Head of Student Success

**Purpose Of Job**
- Responsible to the Head of Student Success for carrying out aspects of UCL's student success strategies and for advancing aspects of the UCL Access and Participation Plan to close awarding and attainment gaps, primarily the BAME Awarding Gap Project.
- Meeting internal and external targets and milestones, allocating and managing resources, and working with the Data and Impact team to measure impact, implement best practice and develop activity accordingly.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- To line manage the Student Success Officer (BAME Awarding Gap Project).
- Develop and implement aspects of UCL's student success strategies and Access and Participation Plan, with a particular focus on closing awarding and attainment gaps amongst students from ethnic minority backgrounds.
- Manage and co-lead the BAME Awarding Gap Project, ensuring the effective delivery of activity, within overall resource constraints and delivery timetables.
- Create and maintain efficient administration processes, coordinate the work of the team and develop the service in line with UCL requirements.
- Ensure effective reporting of progress against targets and the collection and dissemination of appropriate target-related data.
- Work with colleagues across UCL to ensure that the project retains a high profile across the university, and to devise and implement strategies for communicating the outcomes from the projects to the relevant staff across the university.
- In conjunction with the Data and Impact Team, develop and implement systems to monitor the impact of services.
- Deputise for the Head of Student Success at internal and external fora.
- Liaise with colleagues across the office to ensure coordinated ways of working.
- Maintain awareness of common issues and best practice across the sector and sharing knowledge internally and externally.
- Develop mechanisms to enable the outcomes of activity to inform future planning and approaches across the office.
- Prepare data for internal and external audiences, including funding and regulatory bodies.
- Responsibility for day-to-day management of the team budget, ensuring good budgetary awareness across the office and implementing frameworks for accurate forecasting.
- Ensure effective communication with line manager regarding work in progress.
