In-house Area Security Officer

A great opportunity has become available within the Unipart Logistics Security Department for an Area Security Officer to join our in-house team covering our distribution sites in the Leicestershire and East Midlands area.

Successful applicants will receive a permanent 48-hour contract (providing an annual basic salary of £33, 907) and work a combination of day, night & weekend shifts.

**Duties will include (but are not limited to)**:

- Provide a courteous, professional and welcoming atmosphere for all clients, their representatives and visitors to the company.
- Provide security for 'People, Product & Property' at all times.
- Conduct regular searches of site staff, contractors and/or visitors.
- Conduct regular internal and external site patrols.
- Conduct gatehouse duties - seal checks, booking vehicles in/out on PC, vehicle searches, communicating site rules to drivers.
- Reporting of incidents and completing relevant reports
- Report any H&S breaches and/or concerns.
- CCTV monitoring and footage reviews / investigations.
- Assist with fire alarm tests and site evacuations.
- Respond to fire and/or intruder alarms where required.
- Issue and control staff and visitor access cards.
- Meet the requirements of the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

**Essential requirements for this role are**:

- A valid SIA license.
- A full Driving license and access to a vehicle (as you’ll be required to travel to different sites in the Midlands area).
- A 5-year checkable history.
