**About Ashlin Farm Barns**

We are an award-winning, friendly, family-run business with a collection of 24 luxury award-winning holiday barns, situated just outside Dunholme village. Each barn accommodates four to ten people and we are open 365 days a year with the busiest times being Easter, summer/school holidays and Christmas. We pride ourselves in making sure the barns and whole site are spotlessly clean and well-presented for our guests. We offer full training and support, free on-site parking, employee discount, referral programme and staff rewards, as well as the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

We are seeking to appoint a number of reliable and enthusiastic **Grounds People** to work as part of our fantastic team to ensure all outdoor areas including hot tubs / swim spas, private and communal areas are clean, well-kept, maintained and presented to the highest of standards.

The positions would be **zero-hours, across Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.**

Permanent contracts are offered from time to time and all staff (permanent and zero-hours) are notified of these internally.

**Job Summary**

With full training, our Grounds People will work as part of our fantastic team, under the supervision and support of our Head Grounds Person, to carry out a varied range of tasks, including the following:

- Carry out daily hot tub / swim spa checks, rectifying any issues and ensuring standards, cleanliness and safety are 5*.
- Perform all required hot tub / swim spa tasks on changeover days, e.g. filter clean, drain and refill.
- Clean BBQs in time for guests arriving on changeover days.
- Ensure gardens are cut, weeded, planted, free of waste, hedges trimmed and plants watered as applicable.
- Ensure all general outdoor areas are kept tidy and free of waste.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Head Grounds Person.
- Ensure bird feeders and logs are topped up.
- Check outdoor showers, wipe down chrome surfaces, windowsills etc.
- Empty and replace large wheelie bins and put out / bring in on bin collection days, spraying out when required.
- Be a friendly face to all staff members and guests.
- Work effectively as a team to enable strong communication between Grounds Staff and Head Grounds Person.

**Person specification**:
The Grounds People will be the welcoming and friendly face of Ashlin Farm Barns. Throughout the guests’ stay, the Grounds People will need to display discretion and consideration for our guests’ privacy and peace while carrying out their daily tasks and display a helpful and willing “can-do” attitude when assisting with guests’ queries. The Grounds People will give priority to the needs of our guests at all times and seek to contribute to the enjoyment of their stay by their attitude and actions.

**Requirements**:

- Have experience in a similar maintenance, hot tubs and/or gardening role (although not essential as full training will be provided).
- Have a range of practical skills.
- Be a reliable and responsible person.
- Have a pro-active, enthusiastic work ethic and be able to work as part of our friendly team.
- Have the personal qualities to represent the company in a friendly and welcoming way.
- Be able to reliably commute to Dunholme, specifically our site on Ashing Lane, LN2 3BY.
- Be self-motivated and take pride in their work.

**Pay**: age 21 years and above £11.00/hour, 18-20 year olds £9/hour, 16-17 year olds £8.00/hour
