**What you’ll be doing**:
- Supporting the year groups to provide the most effective care, monitoring, and guidance so that positive student wellbeing contributes to excellent student progress.
- Identifying students through data analysis (including attendance) who may be in danger of underachieving and devise bespoke strategies and interventions to address barriers to learning.
- Arranging meetings with parents, staff, students and outside agencies as necessary to discuss underachievement and/or any pastoral issue impacting on learning.
- Provide regular mentoring to CLA students, liaise with Designated Teacher to prepare for PEP meetings, review targets and attend PEP meetings.
**What we’re looking for**:
- Experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social emotional and mental health needs
- Experience of a range of behaviour management strategies/Dealing with some challenging behaviour or other specific SEN
- Ability to respond flexibility as needs arise and to be confident working with individuals, groups and whole classes if required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Who are we?**
Mapesbury School is our newest Special Educational Needs school in Cricklewood, Brent. Our small school will support children aged between 7 to 16 years with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in a mainstream or specialist setting and would benefit from an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not yet have a diagnosis, though they display traits of Autism and associated conditions.
Mapesbury School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
