We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our established MP&L team. The Production Planner will be responsible for scheduling the flow of material throughout the manufacturing processes ensuring optimum efficiency within production whileensuring customer and stocking requirements are covered.You will be able to react to changing demands and priorities and be able to resolve timing conflicts and constraints.
**What you’ll be doing as our Production Planner**:
- Own, build and enhance the planning function within the business
- Utilize available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules that optimally balance customer service and operational cost efficiency
- Manage risks within the plan and amend orders where possible/practical to achieve customer service and stock targets
- Champion ongoing communication with the operations teams to ensure accurate exchange of information
- Propose and implement continuous improvements in own area
- Translate production plans into material requirements and convert them into direct and indirect material requirements
- Contribute to Production Planning and capacity planning meetings providing reports and analysis on performance and KPIs.
- Working to ensure smooth flow of goods and production
- Working in a busy supply chain function with the ability to adapt to change
- Prepare accurate monthly reports for line management
**The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Production Planner**:
- Minimum 3 years working experience within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical or FMCG environment
- Previous experience in Materials or Production Planning
- Knowledge of ERP or CRM systems
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Creating and managing accurate budgets for the IT delivery within the business
- Ability to work under pressure
**Need to have**:
- 3 years proven experience in a Production Planning role.

- Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
