Due to expansion, we have some exciting opportunities to join our dynamic team as a Youth Support Worker/Key Worker.

**The Role**

Safe Haven Accommodation specialise in providing a range of supported accommodation and supported living services for semi-independent Looked After Children from the age of 16+.**
You will be someone who has experience of working with children and young people.

In this role, you will be working closely with young people, colleagues and professionals to promote young peoples welfare. You will support young people to complete activities to promote their independence and ensure any concerns are recorded and reported in line with our policies and procedures. Safeguarding will be at the forefront of everything you do.
- Safeguarding young people and protecting from harm
- Promotion of young peoples welfare
- Reading risk assessments and updating them
- Reporting any concerns in relation to child protection
- Visitor checks
- Dealing with significant incidents
- Ensuring all documents and reports are completed
- Encouragement and development of life skills to promote independence
- Attending relevant meetings with professionals
- Providing a positive, welcoming and stimulating environment for young people
- Performing other ad hoc duties as required

**What were looking for**
- Are willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
- Have experience in working with children and young people, including managing challenging behaviour
- Have a good understanding and awareness of safeguarding issues
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with young people, colleagues & professionals
