The Bakery is looking for a Confectionary Baker to prepare fresh pastries and other pastries according to the recipes and specifications of customers.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare fresh pastries and other pastries according to the recipes and specifications of customers
- Use kitchen equipment such as mixers, grills, fryers, blenders etc.
- Cook in a timely manner so that all ingredients are prepared before the next step is needed
- Ensure that all food is stored properly
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment after use
- Keep accurate work records of all food served and calories used
- Attend weekly meetings with managers and supervisors
- Work in a fast-paced environment where speed is important
- Provide assistance to customers when needed (e.g. take orders, make coffee)
- Keep updated knowledge of the latest trends and practices in food preparation and cookery

**Skills**
- Proven work experience as a Baker or relevant position within a restaurant
- Hands-on experience with various cutting tools (e.g. knife and scissors)
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks within the kitchen area
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical stamina and strength

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ashton-Under-Lyne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Baking: 1 year (preferred)
