We are looking to recruit Sports Coaching apprentices to play in improving the health and wellbeing of children, by delivering fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help to bring about a change in physical activity habits

Apprentices will engage with training that will develop and enhance their coaching skills and equip them to work in a variety of environments, with a range of stakeholders and work effectively in partnership with other organisations.

**Our Sports Coaching Apprenticeship Programmes include the following training**:

- Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Standard
- Level 2 Coaching Award in Multi-skills Development in Sport
- FA level 1 football coaching qualification
- 1st 4 Sport - Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity training
- CPD in Supporting Behaviour Change
- Mental Health & Wellbeing CPD workshop
- PE CPD - National curriculum PE (invasion games, striking and fielding games, net and wall games, athletics)
- CPD training/resources in Dance & Gymnastics

**All programmes are designed to give the learner extensive understanding and experience in**:

- Confidently delivering fun and engaging sporting activity sessions at holiday camps
- Leading sports clubs during extra-curricular time at primary schools
- Providing sport and physical activity guidance to children
- Organising/running programmes that promote healthy lifestyles to young people
- Initiating positive behaviour change toward physical activity in community settings

**Key duties throughout the programmes include**:

- Assist staff with their delivery of PE in the school curriculum
- Assist staff with their delivery of before, lunch time, and after school sports clubs
- Assist staff with their delivery of our holiday camp programme during school holidays & term time evening sessions
- Create and support with community based projects
- Complete basic administration and office related tasks

**We will support you in your personal development by providing you with the underpinning knowledge, skills and experience for the following**:

- Careers within the Sport Coaching industry
- Careers within the Education sector including Behaviour & Learning Mentors, Teaching Assistants and Primary Teaching
- Potential further employment with the employer
- Opportunity for further education

**Programme length: 15-18 months**

**Contracted Hours: 30**

**Salary**: £4.81-£8.00 per hour
