A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm working 3 days from home and 2 days in the office. Paying between £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
This role is a high-volume, high-pressure position, processing 2000 - 4000 invoices per month. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential and excellent communications skills are required due to needing to communicate efficiently and effectively.

**Your key duties in this Purchase Ledger Clerk role will include but are not limited to**:
- Maintain good supplier records, update terms and payment records.
- Build good relationships with key suppliers.
- Reconcile supplier accounts.
- Obtain approvals to facilitate payment.
- Regularly review supplier statements against entries on the system to identify invoices not yet received.
- Register all invoices on FCL
- Ensure invoices are checked against estimates and passed in the system accurately.
- Re-distribute unpassed invoices
- Address any discrepancies or issues that arise with purchase invoices.
- Escalate potentially unresolved issues to Operations/Finance team.
- Reconcile foreign Currency supplier accounts.
- Regularly run various purchase ledger reports
- Assist with month-end duties and the year-end tax and audit queries.
**Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role**:
- Experience in processing a high volume of invoices
- AAT accountancy qualified desirable
- Strong Excel skills
