**Catering Services Kitchen Assistant**who is a fast learner with an understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health & safety, is required for a well-established school trust based in Frome, Somerset, South West England.

**SALARY**:£9.50 per hour

**JOB TYPE**:Part-Time, Permanent (Term Time Only)

**WORKING HOURS**: 20-25 hours per week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Catering Services Kitchen Assistantwho is a fast learner with an understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health & safety.

The Catering Services Kitchen Assistantwill join an exciting team and will participate in the smooth running of all operations and will assist in all aspects of the day to day duties in the kitchen.

The catering service is all about precise, beautifully designed and nourishing menus. They cater for a healthy vegetarian diet, and provide food that is good for the body, mind and soul. Feel good food that genuinely uplifts you, the catering service currentlyprovide over 4000 meals daily nationwide and support over 9 schools. Their menus are designed by nutritional experts who understand the blend between satisfying children’s tastes and providing them with essential food types for their growth and development.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as a Catering Services Kitchen Assistantwill include:

- To prepare all types of food in line with kitchen requirements of to pack meals as needed
- To operate within a team of permanent, part time and flexible staff in the unit, ensuring that the manufacturing service is successfully delivered consistently to the required standard daily
- To participate in ensuring the smooth running of all operations
- To liaise and co-operate with the Chef manager and the Front of house manager, to follow and respect their request and orders

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health & safety
- Ability to follow strict instructions in a systematic and consistent manner
