Recycling Team Leader

Victorian Sliders is also a leading provider in Sash Windows and evolving in the recycling industry, committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We specialise in the recycling of PVC materials, contributing to the reduction of waste and the promotion of a circular economy. Rate of Pay - £12.90 PHR
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of recycling operators, ensuring adherence to all safety and operational protocols.
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities based on production needs and shift priorities.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support, conducting regular performance evaluations.
**Process Management**:
- Oversee the PVC recycling process, including Granulating, sorting, washing, and pelletising, to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance, ensuring proper usage and working conditions.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues quickly, coordinating with maintenance to resolve equipment breakdowns.
**Quality and Compliance**:
- Ensure recycled PVC meets company and industry quality standards.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular quality checks and safety audits to maintain operational standards.
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
- Track daily and weekly performance metrics, reporting any significant issues to management.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and filed in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a recycling, waste management, or production environment is required.
- Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of recycling machinery and processes, especially within PVC or plastics recycling.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and work effectively with maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to recycling.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.90 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
