Do you have experience of lifting boats, hold current certification for driving a forklift and are trained in banks man duties?

We have an excellent opportunity to join the team at Saxon Wharf, we specialise in lifting large vessels up to 200t, operate a busy Dry Stack and marina - no two days are the same

This is a full-time position working up to 40 hours each week on a five out of seven day rota basis, supporting the marina operations activities. This is a fixed term role for 6 months.

The role will include but not limited to:

- Provide a meet and greet service to all members and visitors
- Overseeing the berthing allocations of vessels
- To carry out general maintenance tasks as required
- Operating the Dry Stack Forklift
- To carry out Banksman Duties for the Dry stack and Hoist operations
- To carry out Slinger Signaller Duties for Hoist operations
- To carry out blocking off boats ashore in the yard
- Ensuring the telephone is answered in the correct and timely manner
- To ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with both promptly and efficiently
- Assisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services
- Maintaining the security of the site
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance with H&S and Customer Service standards

The key requirements for this role are but not limited to:
Boat Lifting Experience
- Experienced Fork Lift operator with a current license (Essential)
- Experienced and qualified Banksman
- Experienced and qualified slinger signaller
- Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Previous experience in a customer service and Marine environment
- General maintenance skills (not essential but an advantage)
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Sound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplace
- Confident use of IT systems
- A practical, resourceful and common-sense approach
- Good practical boating skills/qualifications (not essential but an advantage)
- Competent swimmer (essential)
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £2,200.00-£2,340.00 per month
