You’ll work with the Director of Culture Transformation to shape and deliver the culture change plan and future of work strategy for Sainsbury’s. You’ll uses internal and external knowledge and data to identify and define key activity to transform our culture and help build Sainsbury’s as a destination employer., You’ll turn this into an actionable plan and measures of success and manage the delivery of this plan, working collaboratively with a cross-functional project teams.
- Use your knowledge of how culture change is effected and sustained, built through previous experience and/or deep research, to develop and iterate the culture change plan. Identify opportunities to accelerate our culture transformation across the business and enhance our hybrid ways of working
- Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with relevant internal stakeholders who own elements of the culture change plan to define the key activities and milestones for their areas and hold them to account for delivery against these - including the leadership development, talent, recruitment, colleague experience, customer experience and customer closeness teams. This will require getting to know their areas in some depth so that you are able to co-create solutions and support and challenge.
- Manage the required governance structures for the culture transformation programme
- what forums we need, who attends, the right cadence. Manage and lead project updates, working group meetings etc.
- Work with the People Analytics team to track and measure our progress across core KPIs
- Work with the Director of Culture Transformation to manage any external partners engaged on the culture transformation plan
- Prepare updates for different stakeholder groups as required - these might include the project team, the Central and Retail HR teams, HRLT, senior leaders and Operating Board

**What you need to know and show**
- Comfortable with ambiguity - sees the opportunity to shape the culture change plan as an exciting opportunity
- Ability to think strategically and creatively
- Curiosity to seek out insights on best practice/trends/case studies from other organisations, coupled with pragmatism to distil this into what will work for Sainsbury’s
- Strong project management skills, with experience of managing projects with time horizons of at least a year
- Clear sense of ownership and an ability to follow through tenaciously to resolve issues.
- Strong written and verbal communications - able to draft slide decks/documents that are suitable for use at HRLT and Ops Board level
- Strong stakeholder management, constructively challenging up to Director (DD) level
- Strong impact and influence skills, with experience of influencing up to Director (DD) level
- Good understanding of what organisation culture is and how culture change happens. Previous experience of managing culture change programmes is beneficial although not essential
