**Job Title**: Construction Tutor

**Location**: Wakefield, West Yorkshire WF2 0DX

**Salary**:£17,000-£22,000 (dependant on experience)

**Hours**: Part-time 25-30 hours

**About Us**:
We are a vocational centre for young disengaged/ vulnerable young people across the Wakefield District, we have been running for over 12 years now, and offer practical learning through our vocations in Motor and Construction; we also deliver Maths and English.Young people have the opportunity to develop, learn and grow in an environment that is safe and engaging. Our centre is small and bespoke to the learner’s needs, so class sizes are very small so that they have a more suited environment where they feel comfortableand able to learn.

We require a positive engaging construction tutor to deliver BTEC level 1 qualifications at our small vocational centre for young disengaged people some with learning difficulties and some with challenging behaviour. We deliver sessions in small groups sizesof 3-4 learners, and have 2 workshops, one brick work room and one a joinery workshop. We work with Pre 16 learners and Post 16 learners.

**We are looking for someone with the below characteristics**:
The right person for the role is someone with patience care and understanding and the desire to make a difference, and the ability to think outside the box. Salary is dependent on experience within teaching and overall job experience.
