Goldman & Fine Group is recruiting for an award-winning banqueting venue. The role of Sous Chef involves providing a high standard of cooking in a busy operation for plated private dining, banqueting, conferences, and the employer's café bar. You will helpensure the smooth and efficient running operation of the kitchen under the direction of the Executive Chef. Working as a member of the Catering Team, you will assist colleagues whenever possible to ensure that customers receive a professional and impeccableservice. Duties and Responsibilities:

- To create menus as required by the company in the agreed time frames.
- To adhere to all company health and hygiene policies to ensure that due diligence is maintained.
- To assist other OGGS managers with customer requirements as necessary.
- To communicate effectively with any supplier as delegated by the Executive Chef.
- To train all staff in food, food safety and cooking skills to increase knowledge base and staff flexibility.
- Effective management of all resources to meet the needs of the business.
- To delegate appropriate tasks and projects to kitchen team to maximise recourses.
- To minimise food wastage to maintain gross profit margin.

What are we looking for:
As our Sous Chef you will have significant experience in a kitchen environment and in creating menus. In addition they will have material experience in banqueting as well as the ability to assist the Head Chef manage all areas of the kitchen. Proven financialexperience in understanding the running of a kitchen efficiently are desirable for this position. Good knowledge of food trends and market variations is also a welcome plus.
