We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Technology faculty and we havea new role available as a Brickwork Lecturer. In recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength and we are now at the forefront of vocational education. You will need a Level 3 Construction qualification or equivalent and up-to-date experience in education/training or proven industry experience.You must hold a relevant teaching qualification or be committed to obtaining one at level 5 (e.g Diploma in Education/DTLLS/CertEd/PGCE) within the first 3 years of employment. You must hold a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain within 18 months of employment.

The work we do in Construction is essential in supporting local businesses. We work with a huge range of companies to make sure our qualifications and curriculum offer meet the industry’s needs. We cover brickwork, groundworks, carpentry, plumbing, paintingand decorating and technical/professional construction and we have a first-class track record of working with employers on successful apprenticeship programmes.

We have great facilities on site but are always looking to make improvements to ensure our staff and students have the best possible learning environments. The staff are welcoming, supportive and have a great sense of humour. We work tirelessly to give allour students the best opportunity to succeed, whether that is taking the first step on to the employment ladder or moving in to more senior positions.
