**Salary**:£70 - £80 per day

Leader Education is currently recruiting for a number of **Inclusion Health Support Workers** for a **specialist school** in **Huddersfield**, to support pupils on a 1:1 basis.

This specialist nurture school provides education and support for **pupils aged 9 to 16** and have been identified as having **Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs**. Pupils range from those who have been excluded from mainstream education to pupils on time limited turn around placements who are at risk of being excluded from mainstream settings. Pupils mayalso have additional SEN needs.

**The job**:

- Providing **1:1 support** to students with **SEMH needs** in an educational setting
- Working in close partnership with SENCO and the designated safeguarding lead to promote positive outcomes and academic progression
- Forming strong relationships with children and young people, and their families, which influence them to regulate their behaviour and emotions
- Helping students in achieving the objectives set out in their Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), by adopting a nurturing approach
- Ensuring the best quality of education and support for each student.

**You**:

- Have previous experience in working with children with **SEMH needs**:

- Will be patient, nurturing, resilient and empathetic to students' individual needs
- Have the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with the child/children that you work with
- Have a passion for teaching and learning with the ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
- Are a motivated and enthusiastic person with great communication skills
- Will ideally be Team Teach trained but not essential - free training is available
- Able to work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
