The Menu Partners Ltd are looking for a **Transport Supervisor** to join the Brighton team.

The **Transport Supervisor's** role playing a key part of in the coordinating of timely delivery of key items, you'll be assisting in a key area of the business helping to drive better efficiency and customer success.

You will ensure that the operation performs effectively and efficiently on a daily basis and complies with all Legal, Health and Safety, Hygiene regulations and Company Policies. You will be aiming to deliver a “best in class” facility for operational efficiency.

As a Transport Supervisor, you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

**What you will be doing**:

- Coordinate the logístical operations of the site in line with company standards and current Transport Legal Compliance
- Manage the timely dispatch of all customer deliveries
- Understand the SLA agreements with our customers and ensure all deliveries are carried out
- Deal with any failed deliveries by finding an alternative solution to ensure the customers receive their orders
- Assisting and help co-ordinate the loading activities with the loading team
- All logs are kept for vehicle maintenance issues and are fixed or reported promptly and professionally
- Ensure that all drivers are working to the required HSE standards and our company safety policies
- To assist the Operations Manager to recruit, train and develop the Transport team both for new positions and succession planning
- Manage transport routing, vehicle tracking and tacho systems
- Manage all transport related administration (vehicle defect forms, tacho downloads, route planning and driver pack paperwork, etc.)
- Hold regular Driver 121 provide feedback/review any issues raised (tacho infringements)
- Developing solutions and customer service focussed culture through coaching and mentoring
- Review and suggest, ideas and actions to improve employee engagement after listening to feedback
- Ensure the department demonstrate professionalism and deliver excellent customer service
- To ensure the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of orders
- Implementing and developing a robust, but flexible, delivery schedule
- Measure, and report performance against the Company service targets
- Ensure prompt communication with colleagues regarding transport and delivery
- Maintain all transport related equipment in a safe and satisfactory condition,
- Ensure that the vehicle fleet appearance is in line with company policy and customer expectations
- To help arrange/provide cover for any 'standing’ routes. i.e. routes not covered
- Help provide management cover for operational colleagues during their absence
- Manual handling activities such as loading and unloading vehicles
- Provide absence cover for delivery drivers

**What skills you will need**:
Experience in a FMCG environment, preferably within the food industry

Possess full clean driving license

Understanding of current H&S legislation and transport compliance

Ability to motivate the drivers to go the extra mile and provide great customer service, enthusiastic, energetic, dynamic under pressure

Good knowledge of Excel is highly desirable

Previous experience of route planning systems is desirable

Great customer service skills and an interest in meeting new people

**Permanent position - 8 hour shifts, 6 days a week**
