I am excited to be exclusively recruiting for a well-established, growing design company based in Nelson. They are seeking an experience Buyer to join the procurement team. There is plenty of scope for progression and career development.

**The role**
- Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering prices, quality, and delivery
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other departments on purchasing processes
- Monitor market trends and market suppliers
- Adhere to any Health & Safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors
- Prepare and raise purchase orders
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications

**About You**:

- Previous experience within the procurement department or as a Buyer
- Experience liaising and negotiating with suppliers
- Knowledge of FSC and other management systems would be preferred
- Exceptional written and communication skills
