Purchase Ledger Assistant

To fulfill a key organisational role by providing comprehensive invoice processing to departments throughout the company. This will include checking, coding and matching incoming invoices as well as recording them on the company computer system.

**Typical Responsibilties**:
- To check, code and match invoices.
- Authorise and enter invoices onto the computer system.
- Distribute invoices to the relevant department managers for authorisation.
- General filing of invoices, statements and other associated documentation.
- Handle internal and external telephone queries regarding invoices and disputes in an efficient and professional manner.
- Act as a team member, assisting and contributing to the efficient organisation of the Purchase Ledger department.
- Liaise between buyers and suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies, resolving as quickly as possible to allow prompt, accurate payments to be made.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.
