We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Administrator to join an exciting charity that provides a range of services and programmes for people aged 50 and over.
**Position**: Volunteer Administrator
**Location**: Birmingham
**Hours**: 25 Hours Per Week
**Salary**: £26,000 per annum FTE (pro-rated £17,568)
**Benefits**: Pension and healthcare scheme benefits.
**Closing Date**: Monday 19th September
**About the Role**
As Volunteer Administrator, you will play a key role in developing and promoting the volunteering programme across the organisation by leading the recruitment, induction, and support of new volunteers, supporting volunteer training, coordinating, and preparingvolunteer communications.
Key responsibilities of the Volunteer Administrator include:
- To deliver induction training and support to new volunteers into the organisation using technology or face to face
- To promote volunteering with AUKBS and support recruitment to roles
- To develop and deliver volunteer induction training plus associated resources
- Support the delivery of volunteer training, either face to face or virtually
- Be the first point of contact for volunteers and provide excellent response and customer service in volunteer support
- Source, write and edit content for communications streams including volunteer newsletters, web pages and social media
- To gather and analyse the views of potential, existing and ex-volunteers on matters relating to the volunteering programme
- Assist the Head of Operations in the development of volunteer programme materials and resources
- Prepare reports relating to the volunteering programme as and when required
**About You**
The charity is looking for an experienced Volunteer Administrator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with good time management. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with people atall levels.
To succeed in the role of Volunteer Administrator, your key skills will include:
- Experience in supporting volunteers/people
- Experience in working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
- Good IT skills and social media knowledge
- Proven ability to develop and maintain good working relations, with both colleagues and external audiences
- Experience in developing and delivering training
- Able to establish and maintain systems and accurate recording of data
**About the Organisation**
The employer is an independent local charity, working to support the older people of the City of Birmingham and the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell. They have been working in the local community to help older people for 30 years in various forms.
