We are looking for 4 full time/ part time admin carks to join our team. The post holder will give administrative assistance in a busy Maternity Community Hub. This is a varied role and the need for flexibility in approach and adaptability is essential. The post holder will be expected to be organised and carry out tasks in a timely manner, providing essential administrative support to the midwives, and the wider team. The post holder must be able to work rotational weekends providing support in the Community Post Natal Office

**Full training will be given for this role. No previously experience needed.**

The post holder must have the ability to work as part of a team to ensure all relevant administrative activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner. You would be expected to handle enquiries and requests from women, relatives, staff colleagues confidently and sensitively both in person and by telephone.

To use the Patient Administration Management System (PAS) including, patient registration, admission, transfer and discharge.

¨To retrieve, amend, input and interpret data in electronic and manual format.

¨To scan appropriate documents to the Badgernet electronic patient record.

¨To efficiently receive and handle telephone calls in a polite manner, taking actionas necessary or liaising with appropriate personnel.

¨To advise team leader in regard to any operational issues which may affect thesmooth running of the department.

¨To liaise with staff internal and external to the Trustwhen necessary.

¨To participate in a 7 day working pattern for the provision of clerical cover of the service.

¨To provide cover for annual leave and sickness Monday - Sunday, often at shortnotice.

¨To make arrangements and to complete procedures associated with the dischargeand transfer of patients. To arrange any, follow-up appointments,

¨To undertake general clerical duties, i.e. receiving and sorting incoming mail,photocopying, filing, etc.

¨To participate in team meetings as appropriate, e.g. departmental/Ward Clerk
